Murfreesboro’s breakfast restaurants cluster on Medical Center Parkway around The Avenue and the hospital, on Old Fort Parkway and on South Church Street. Independent coffee shops are spread out, from West Main Street downtown to Middle Tennessee Boulevard and East Main Street near MTSU; several coffee chains have stores along Memorial Boulevard.
How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Murfreesboro’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 19, 2026. Many coffee shops here have no readable site, and the big coffee chains’ store pages load only in a browser, so we also searched the Tennessee Department of Health’s food inspection records and kept places with a Murfreesboro inspection in the past 12 months; those rows say so. Campus-only outlets at MTSU are left out. Bakeries have their own list, and weekend brunch has its own page. The list is alphabetical.
