Buc-ee’s will open its Murfreesboro travel center at 6 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16. The company set the date in a press release on Monday.
A ribbon-cutting follows at noon. Buc-ee’s said Murfreesboro Mayor Shane McFarland, Rutherford County Mayor Randy Allen and members of the City Council and the County Commission will attend.
What is opening
The store is at 3355 Elam Road, by the I-24 interchange at Joe B. Jackson Parkway. The company first gave that location when it announced the groundbreaking in October 2025.
According to the company, the Murfreesboro store will have:
- 74,000 square feet of floor space
- 120 fueling positions
- its usual food counters, including Texas barbecue, fudge, kolaches, jerky and fresh pastries
Buc-ee’s said it will be its third store in Tennessee and its 58th in the U.S.
“Murfreesboro has been a great partner to work with since we first visited,” Stan Beard of Buc-ee’s said in the release. “This community will be a welcome pit stop for folks traveling to and from Nashville, Atlanta and the Gulf Coast.”
The jobs
Buc-ee’s said the store will create more than 250 jobs. The company listed these terms:
- starting pay “well above minimum wage”
- full benefits
- a 6% 401(k) match
- three weeks of paid vacation
The release did not give hourly rates. More about the company is on the Buc-ee’s website.
