Murfreesboro’s Mexican restaurants mostly sit in strip centers on Memorial Boulevard, Old Fort Parkway, South Church Street, South Rutherford Boulevard, New Salem Highway and North Thompson Lane, from sit-down restaurants with bars to small taquerias and counter-service burrito chains.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Murfreesboro’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 19, 2026. Most of the family-run restaurants here have no readable site of their own, so we also searched the Tennessee Department of Health’s food inspection records and kept places with a Murfreesboro inspection in the past 12 months; those rows say so. El Toro’s web address now leads to an unrelated gambling site and Maya Mexican Grill’s site carries spam links, so we do not link them. Chains with several stores take one row. Barrio Burrito Bar on Franklin Road on the west side was inspected in September 2026.

Blue Coast Burrito is a counter-service burrito chain with two Murfreesboro stores, on Memorial Boulevard and on Fortress Boulevard. Both post the same hours and offer takeout.

Camino Real is a Mexican restaurant with five locations in the city, all inspected in 2026; four of them also hold a bar permit.

Carmen’s Taqueria on West Northfield Boulevard and Che Taqueria on Memorial Boulevard are taquerias inspected in September 2026.

Chipotle Mexican Grill lists four Murfreesboro stores on its own city page, with online ordering for each.

Chuy’s has a restaurant and lounge on Northwest Broad Street, inspected in August 2026.

Cinco de Mayo Mexican Restaurant on Franklin Road holds restaurant and bar permits, inspected in July 2026.

El Monte Fresh Mexican Food on Lascassas Pike and El Patron Taqueria on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard were inspected in summer 2026.

El Toro Bar & Grill on Memorial Boulevard was inspected in July 2026. The web address it used to list now shows an unrelated site.

Fiesta Grill on Greenland Drive and Fonda El Cubilete on North Thompson Lane both hold restaurant and bar permits, inspected in February 2026.

La Loma Mexican Grill is in the shopping center at 2658 New Salem Highway. La Siesta has two restaurants, on South Church Street and Northwest Broad Street.

Las Trojas on Medical Center Parkway and Los Barriles on New Salem Highway both hold restaurant and bar permits, inspected in 2026.

Maya Mexican Grill on Old Fort Parkway says on its site that it is open seven days a week and that staff speak Spanish.

Mexico Tipico on South Church Street was inspected in August 2026. Mi Patria has two restaurants, on South Rutherford Boulevard and near Stones River Mall.

Moe’s Southwest Grill is a counter-service burrito chain with two Murfreesboro stores; its city page lists a phone for each.

Nacho’s Mexican Restaurant on South Rutherford Boulevard holds restaurant and bar permits, inspected in September 2026.

Oscar’s Taco Shop has two shops, on Memorial Boulevard and South Church Street, plus an Oscar’s Taqueria Express on South Rutherford Boulevard.

San Marcos Taqueria on North Thompson Lane and So-Cali Taco Shop on Old Fort Parkway are taco shops in the state’s 2026 records.

Taco Bell lists 10 Murfreesboro stores: 1301 NW Broad St., 155 Cason Lane, 1702 Memorial Blvd., 2482 S. Church St., 2967 S. Rutherford Blvd., 3378 Memorial Blvd., 2732 Saint Andrews Drive, 1414 N. Rutherford Blvd., 1634 Joe B. Jackson Parkway and 5257 Veterans Parkway.

The Taco Shop on Old Fort Parkway, Tequila Mexican Restaurant on Memorial Boulevard and West 22 Tacos on Medical Center Parkway were all inspected by the state in 2026.
