New businesses in Murfreesboro: the Rutherford County Chamber's latest ribbon cuttings, a commercial rezoning before planners Oct. 21, and how to get a license.
Last checked Oct. 19, 2026. This is our first monthly roundup. It draws on the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce’s Member Celebrations page, the city’s Planning Commission notices and the businesses’ own websites. We list a business only when one of those records names it. We update this page each month.
Murfreesboro’s newest businesses show up first in three places: the chamber’s ribbon cuttings, the city’s planning and zoning notices, and the city’s business license office. For licenses, call the city Tax Department at 615-893-5210.

Coming soon: projects before the Planning Commission
Commercial projects reach the Planning Commission before they reach the street. At 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, the commission holds a public hearing on an application by the Fred H. Farrer Limited Partnership to rezone about 2.51 acres along Brinkley Avenue from Commercial Highway to a Planned Unit District. The legal notice says the zoning would allow two commercial buildings and an outdoor area to store and rent construction equipment. The commission makes a recommendation; the City Council has the final vote on a rezoning.
See our public notices index for every current hearing.
