Valentine’s Day 2027 falls on a Sunday, Feb. 14. No Murfreesboro venue had posted 2027 Valentine’s plans when we checked in October, which is normal: most announce in January. Until then, here is what ran in 2026, so you know what to look for. For year-round ideas, see our date night guide.

Dinner and dancing at Oaklands Mansion

Oaklands Mansion turned its historic house into a Valentine’s dining room on Feb. 14, 2026. Guests chose a dinner seating at 5, 6:30 or 8 p.m., were greeted at the front door by a harpist and were served by waitstaff inside the mansion. Maney Hall, the mansion’s ballroom, was open from 5 to 9 p.m. for cocktails and dancing, with a DJ and a group dance lesson at the top of each hour. Tickets were $100 a person for dinner, dancing and cocktails, or $50 for dancing and cocktails only; flower arrangements were extra. Paint night for two

The city’s Bradley Academy Museum and Cultural Center ran a Downtown Art Sampler: Valentine’s Day on Feb. 13, 2026: a beginner-friendly class where two people paint one picture across two canvases, with supplies and light refreshments included. It cost $15 a person, was for ages 18 and up, and needed registration. The museum runs Downtown Art Samplers through the year; see the city’s visual arts page.

Something different

Outdoor Murfreesboro’s Ladies Night Out(side) on Feb. 13, 2026, was a snake feeding demonstration at the Wilderness Station, where guests could “share a story about an ex” and name a feeder mouse. It cost $5, for ages 16 and up.
